Winter Tourism: The skiing resort is founded a the Mountain bubi which is 18 km. from Agri cty centre. There is a flight at some days of the week, from Istanbul and Ankara.
Geography :There is terratrial climate dominant and the most period is December and April . The centre is covered with Alpin meadows.
There is a 1227 metres long teleski with the capacity of 600 people/hour.
The Traces of the Ship of Nuh : It is a natural monument between villages Telceker and Mesar, at the south of mountin Agri. It is a silhouette which looks like a ship. Cultural Ministry registered this area as a Sit Area in 1987.
Meteor Hollow: It is the second biggest meteor Hollow after the one in Alasca. It is 2 km. from Iran border, in village Saricavus. A meteorit caused it 70-80 years before. It is 35 metres wide and 60 metres deep.
Cave Buz :It is at the flat place which is at the foots of the Small Agri Mountain. It is 3 km. from turn of the village Hallac road. It is 15-20 metres underground and has a length of 100 metres and width of 50 metres. There are stalagmites of human size inside the cave and they wrap themselves in different colours under light.
Caves Mera : It is 15 km .from Diyadin. They were formed by engraving rocks by people to materialize some life functions such as shelter, worship etc. These caves are like a monument city. It carries the traces of different believes and cultures. They are very large. There are church ,grave remains and water arches.
Dambat Cermigi and Mineral Water :It is in the village Yolluyazi (Dambat) which is 5 km. from Agri, by the river Murat. The wter which gushin out the land , contains sulfur. It is healing for wounds, abscesses, acnes and other skin diseases and rheumatism.
Diyadin Thermal Springs: It is 5 km. south of district Diyadin. There are three sot springs ; Kopru, Yilanli and Davut. It is healing for skin diseases and rheumatism. The thermal springs are 7 km. south of Diyadin. There is a hotei with capacity of 150 beds.
Ishakpasha PalaceIshak Pasa palce is like a complex of buildings. It is the most famous palace of the last times after Topkapi Palace. It is founded at the top of a hill which is in the 5 km. east of Dogubeyazit. It is the last great structure of the lale period of Ottomans. It has abig art value ,acoording to the Harem Takkapi inscription its construction is 1784. Its three sides are very steep and slopy. Its only east side is plain and its gate is at this side. At the same time it is the narrowest side.The Cumle Gate section is the weakest part of the defence. But this section is similar to the ones in Istanbul and its workmanship is enormous.
The arcitectural parts of the Ishak Pasa Palace : Outer side, first and second courts, selamlik part ,mosque, asevi, harems, ceramony and entertainment rooms, takkapilar, ammunition and food stores, tomb rooms, bakery, dungeon, some pars of inside architecture (doors, windows etc. )
What to Eat
Agri has a rich cuisine.Sac roast is its famous dish. There are special dishes of the region such as ;Gosteberg steamed ,Abdigor meatball, Hengel, eriste, kuymak, kete, bisi, erdek, hasude, bulgur pilaf, yalanci meatball, ekmek asi, halise, ciris ketesi, murtuga, agizyakan and deveci soup.
