Where to Visit

Afyon Castle : The history of the castle dates back 1350 B.C. There are a lot of worship areas for Goddes Kybele and 4 big cisterns exist at the leak of the castle. The castle was repaired by commander Ulumar and a small mosue and a palace was built during the period of Seljuks.

Sandikli Castle: The castle was constructed by Sultan Yakup Bey. It was constructed on a tumulus which had been a settlement since Bronze age and it is surrounded with city walls.

Iscehisar-K?kinlr and Seydiler Castle : It is in village castle. There are a settlement ,church, chapel and grave of Byzantium periods.
Avdalos Castle: It is in village ayazini which id 10 km. away from thermal spring Gazligol.

Bayramliler Castle : It was used as a settlement during the Byzantium period.

Ishakli (sahipata) Caravanserai :It is at the Ishakli region of district Sultandagi. It was constructed by Sahipata Fahrettin who was the visier of Izzettin Keykavus II. ,in 1249. It is made of hewn stone.

Doger Caravanserai :It was constructed by Murat II.,in 1434. There is stable at the basemednt and hosting rooms for voyagers at the upstair.

Cay Caravanserai : It is a sample of Seljuk stone architecture. It has a caourt and it is a closed caravanserai. Its court is ruined.

Egret Caravanserai : It is in district Anitkaya . It isn't lik Ottoman and Seljuk caravanserais.

Valley Goynus : It is at a valley , in Ihsaniye. There are ;Goynus Castle, grave rooms which have lion figures on the Aslantas and Yilantas.

Saricayir Rocky Graves : Family or single grave rooms,graves and shelters of Byzantium period were constructed around the village Saricayir.Their surfaces are adorned with embossed designs and the owners of them are determined with red writings.

Suhut Bininler Rocky Area :This area is in the west of village Senir. There are animal units and human shelters. It was a Byzantium settlement and there are Byzantium monaster structure and church ruins .

Ihsaniye Ayazini Town (Metropolis) :It has been used as a settlement since Phyriggie period. There are single grave rooms,churches , chapels of Rome and Byzantium periods.

Ihsaniye Doger Settlement : There is an open air temle which was constructed in the name of Goddess Kybele I. and II.Beside Phyriggie period rocky settlements, grave rooms and churches exist.

Synnada : The city is in the district centre of Suhut. It was a capital city of Phriggie during the Rome and Byzantium periods. Silver Cistophorus and bronze coins were minted in the name of emperor during the Rome period.

Apameia Kibotos Ancient City :It is located in district Dinar. Its former name was Kelainai. It took the name "Apameia Kibotos" during the Rome period. IT is the biggest city after Ephesus. The stadium and thatre saved their prperties partly.

Dokimaia Ancient City (Iscehisar) :It is a city which was founded by Macedonians ,in the centre of district Iscehisar. It was autonom?us during the Rome period and minted coins in the name of emperor.

Seven Gates Seven Setlements Area : It is locatedon the Bolvadin-Emirdag roadway. During the excavations a comples military structure group and a part of the underground cith which was used as a shelter by people, were found. The Late Rome and Early Byzantium period works still goes on.

Pentapolis Cities

Bruzus :It is in the village Karasandikli, in district sandikli. It is located in the south of the pentapolis cities.

Eucarpeia :It is in village Emirhisar,in Sandikli.

Hierapolis :It is in village Kochisar, in Sandikli. At the same time it is the centre of Phrygia Salutaris and named as "Holy City".

Otrus :IT is a pentapolis city which is founded in village Yanikoren, in district Hocalar.

Ococleia : It is a city in village Karacaoren, in district Suhut. It was half-autonomous during the Rome period so there was bronze city coins wee minted in the name of the emperor.

Lysias :It is in village Arizli ,in Suhut.

Metropolis : It is founded in Tatarli, in Dinar. It is kown as Campus Metropolitanus or Metropolis of Phyriggie.

Cidyessus : It is in town Kucukhoyuk in Sincanli.

Prymnessus :It is a big city which was founded by Phyriggies. The huge statue of Hercules was found in this city.

Sanaus : It is founded in village Sarikavak, in district Dazkiri.
